Papa Bear’s Pipes are handmade by North American artisan Tim Beaumont, who began making pipes in 2018. Beaumont has developed a distinctive style by freely combining traditional forms, contemporary artisan techniques, and unexpected design elements rather than following a single established school.
His tobacco pipes range from billiards, Dublins, brandies, eggs, apples, and Rhodesians to more sculptural designs such as waves, blowfish, cobras, and asymmetric freehands. Smooth, sandblasted, and partially sandblasted finishes appear across his work, often accompanied by bamboo, horn, mammoth, exotic woods, artisan resin, or other decorative materials. Beaumont also works beyond traditional briar, occasionally carving pipes from olivewood or strawberry wood.
MBSD receives new Papa Bear’s Pipes by Tim Beaumont and occasionally offers estate examples acquired through the secondary market. Each pipe is individually handmade, so shaping, grain, finish, stem material, accents, and engineering vary from one piece to the next. Review each listing for its materials, dimensions, chamber size, filter configuration, and individual design features.
