Savinelli Pisa 305 Smooth Dublin Estate Briar Pipe, Unsmoked

It is probably fair to say that Savinelli is Italy’s most famous pipe brand. Founded in Milan in 1876 by Achille Savinelli, the brand has continuously offered high quality pipes for nearly 150 years. Though various Savinelli lines have come and gone over the years, the brand has always been notable for putting out classically styled pipes with a distinctly Italian twist.

The Pisa is one of Savinelli’s many discontinued lines from decades past, and a rather nice one at that. The design was simple; classic Savinelli shapes, dressed in a light, near-natural finish, fitted with vulcanite mouthpieces. This one, for example, takes the form of Savinelli’s very distinctive, tricorner shank squat Dublin rendition, the “305,” with the bowl’s light stain showing off a healthy measure of rippling flame grain and bird’s-eye patterns.

This pipe is completely unsmoked, with an original bowl coating.
