Molina 1 Partially Rusticated Pot Estate Briar Pipe, Unsmoked, 9mm

Description

Molina, also known as Molina di Barasso, is an Italian pipe company with a stronger hold on the world of pipes than it might seem at first glance. Located in Lombardy, at the same premises that Rossi once occupied prior to the latter’s closure, Molina’s factory produces both Molina-brand pipes, as well as pipes for a significant number of other brands and shops. This it does with remarkable consistency in addition to affordability, which the Molina company credits partly to the historic ties, tools, and “secrets” that came with its acquisition of the old Rossi campus—one that has existed since the 19th century.

I’m not quite sure which line this Molina belongs, or belonged, to, though its rendition of the classic is very elegant, I must say. It is almost like a pot crossed with a prince, with the result being slightly long and slender, though with a little more by way of chamber capacity.

This pipe is completely unsmoked, with an original (slightly over-applied) bowl coating, having come to us as part of a new old stock batch. It is chambered to allow for the use of 9mm filters if desired.
