Jacono Knight E Partially Rusticated Pot w/ Olivewood Estate Briar Pipe, Italian Estates
Out of stock
Description
Having a high-end briar cutter for a father-in-law, along with a pipe maker for a brother-in-law, Tonino Jacono began making pipes, in collaboration with his two extended family members, in 1981. In 1983, he started his own pipe workshop in Marche, Italy, founding the Jacono brand. After over four decades in the craft, Tonini continues to create high-grade pipes in the Italian style.
Reminiscent of the early Castello Sea Rock finish, Tonini Jacono’s Knight finish is a wonderfully craggy, tactile rendition of that great Italian tradition: high-grade rustication. In the case of this pipe, the finish dresses a wonderfully lightweight pot shape, which should make for a a comfortable clencher on the off chance that you get tired of having it in the hand. As a Knight E grade, the pipe also has a little something extra to it, which in this instance is a ferrule cut from Italian olivewood.
The condition is good. Minor rim charring.
