Savinelli Eleganza 111 KS Rusticated Billiard (6mm) (Estate)
$120.00
About this pipe:
It is probably fair to say that Savinelli is Italy’s most famous pipe brand. Founded in Milan in 1876 by Achille Savinelli, the brand has continuously offered high quality pipes for nearly 150 years. Though various Savinelli lines have come and gone over the years, the brand has always been notable for putting out classically styled pipes with a distinctly Italian twist.
The Eleganza is one of the more recent additions to Savinelli’s catalog, reflecting a definite shift by the company toward designs that incorporate a little more color than is conventional in pipes. While the Eleganza’s bowl is dressed in either a natural smooth finish or deep, brown rusticated one (seen here, the pipe’s faux spigot mount mouthpiece is made from a custom-cast Lucite of a striking blue hue. In fact, the color has an official name, Classic Blue, as defined by the Pantone company, for whom it was the “Color of the Year” for 2020.
The condition is very good. Minor inner rim charring. As with most modern Savinelli pipes, this one is chambered to accommodate 6mm filters, such as Savinelli’s own balsa filters, if desired, but will also perform perfectly well without one.
