Description
Pipa Croci was founded by Italian artisans Paolo Croci and Gianni Croci in 1983, and in the decades that followed, the two would make a name for themselves (quite literally) owing to the high-quality, handmade pipes that emerged from their workshop in Lombardy. As Pipa Croci is a thoroughly artisanal enterprise, each pipe is unique, with some being more traditional, and others being more modern.
This particular Pipa Croci is somewhere between the two, taking the form of a large, full bent brandy, with a slight touch of the post-war freehand styling found in England and Denmark, for example. Nicely grained, the pipe wears a subtle contrast finish to accentuate the natural patterning of the briar underneath.
This pipe is completely unsmoked, with an original bowl coating. A couple of minor scratches on the bowl, though nothing major.
