It is probably fair to say that Savinelli is Italy’s most famous pipe brand. Founded in Milan in 1876 by Achille Savinelli, the brand has continuously offered high quality pipes for nearly 150 years. Though various Savinelli lines have come and gone over the years, the brand has always been notable for putting out classically styled pipes with a distinctly Italian twist.
Savinelli’s contemporary catalog features a wide variety of lines, often with a modern eye when it comes to color and other decorative elements. For those who prefer to keep things as traditional as possible, however, there is the Spring. These pipes are distinguished by their light brown, smooth polished finishes, their jet-black acrylic mouthpieces, and their modest combination of the two in the service of creating a nice, simple smoking instrument.
This pipe is completely unsmoked. As with many modern Savinelli pipes, this one is chambered to accommodate a 6mm filter, such as Savinelli’s own balsa filters, but will also perform perfectly well without one if preferred.
