Savinelli Mega 121 EX Rusticated Pot Estate Briar Pipe, Unsmoked, 9mm

It is probably fair to say that Savinelli is Italy’s most famous pipe brand. Founded in Milan in 1876 by Achille Savinelli, the brand has continuously offered high quality pipes for nearly 150 years. Though various Savinelli lines have come and gone over the years, the brand has always been notable for putting out classically styled pipes with a distinctly Italian twist.

While by no means magnum-sized pipes, Savinelli’s seldom-seen Mega line is nonetheless distinguished by oversized variations on the make’s classic shapes, variations which are not typically found elsewhere in its catalog. The “121 EX” seen here, for example, is a larger version of the “121 KS,” turning an already nicely sturdy pot shape into a veritable machine for mixture cuts. The jagged rustication paired with the Mega line is an especially fitting one, too, adding an extra assertiveness to its eminently stout forms.

This pipe is completely unsmoked, with an original bowl coating. It is chambered to allow for the use of 9mm filters if desired.
