Savinelli Eleganza 310 KS Rusticated Poker Estate Briar Pipe, Unsmoked, 6mm

Description
It is probably fair to say that Savinelli is Italy’s most famous pipe brand. Founded in Milan in 1876 by Achille Savinelli, the brand has continuously offered high quality pipes for nearly 150 years. Though various Savinelli lines have come and gone over the years, the brand has always been notable for putting out classically styled pipes with a distinctly Italian twist.
The Eleganza is one of the more recent additions to Savinelli’s catalog, reflecting a definite shift by the company toward designs that incorporate a little more color than is conventional in pipes. It’s also one of my personal favorites (and yes, I have one), as the color in question is both unorthodox and yet very tasteful and measured. While the Eleganza’s bowl is dressed in either a warm blonde polish or deep, brown rustication (as seen here), the pipe’s faux spigot mount mouthpiece is made from a custom-cast Lucite of a rich, blue hue. In fact, the color has an official name, Classic Blue, as defined by the Pantone company, for whom it was the “Color of the Year” for 2020. Before the Eleganza, I did not know that was a thing. Interesting world we live in. Anyway, this Eleganza is rendered in one of Savinelli’s all-time best-selling shapes, the 310 KS, a sturdy poker that suits the Eleganza aesthetic just marvelously, to my eyes.
This pipe is completely unsmoked. As with most modern Savinelli pipes, this Eleganza is chambered to fit 6mm filters, such as Savinelli’s own balsa filters, if preferred, but will perform perfectly well without one.
