It is probably fair to say that Savinelli is Italy’s most famous pipe brand. Founded in Milan in 1876 by Achille Savinelli, the brand has continuously offered high quality pipes for nearly 150 years. Though various Savinelli lines have come and gone over the years, the brand has always been notable for putting out classically styled pipes with a distinctly Italian twist.

As was once tradition for many of the great 19th and 20th century pipe companies, Savinelli offers a limited-edition pipe at Christmas time, with theirs going by the name of the “Saint Nicholas.” The design is always festive, but always different. For 2025, the Italian mainstay opted for a very classical Christmas motif, combining their dark, craggy, house rusticated finish with hues of of scarlet, silver, and fir-tree green—the latter being custom-cast acrylic made specially for that year’s Saint Nicholas release. This one is rendered in one of Savinelli’s most popular and easily recognizable shapes, the “320 KS” author. Distinctly plump and full in the hand, the shape features an especially wide chamber, making it perfect for mixture cuts, such as English blends.

This pipe is completely unsmoked, with an original bowl coating. It comes with its original box and sleeve. Like most contemporary Savinelli pipes, this one has a tenon that will fit 6mm filters, such as Savinelli’s own balsa filters, or will perform perfectly well without a filter if preferred.
