Pipa Croci Artistica (True) Smooth Pickaxe Sitter with Horn (Estate)

Pipa Croci was founded by Italian artisans Paolo Croci and Gianni Croci in 1983, and in the decades that followed, the two would make a name for themselves (quite literally) owing to the high-quality, handmade pipes that emerged from their workshop in Lombardy. As Pipa Croci is a thoroughly artisanal enterprise, each pipe is unique, with some being more traditional, and others being more modern.

The Croci brothers’ Artistica series is comprised of pipes that are a little more experimental and avant-garde than they usually make. In word, these pipes are on the “artistic” side, taking on forms that are unusual and often sculptural, in addition to being solid smoking instruments. This one is a highly unorthodox pickaxe rendition, for example, with a pronounced “foot” that allows it to balance upright.

The condition is good. Some slight scratches on the bowl and some minor weathering to the pipe’s horn ferrule.
