I would presume this pipe comes from a sub-brand of an English company in the last century—i.e., a pipe that, for one reason or another (usually cosmetic), didn’t quite make the grade to be put out with its parent make’s main brand. “London Made,” for example, is a phrase used by a number of Anglo-French pipe companies, such as Comoy’s and Sasieni, so it could be one of theirs, though I can’t be sure. It’s a nice pipe either way, and the grain isn’t bad at all. In fact, it’s very good, and I’d presume the minor cosmetic imperfection that lost this one a top spot is the slight whorl in the bird’s-eye on the bowl’s left side.

The condition is very good. Minor inner rim darkening and some very slight scratches on the stem.
