Molina Azzurro 103 Smooth Dublin (9mm) (New)

Molina, also known as Molina di Barasso, is an Italian pipe company with a stronger hold on the world of pipes than it might seem at first glance. Located in Lombardy, at the same premises that Rossi once occupied prior to the latter’s closure, Molina’s factory produces both Molina-brand pipes, as well as pipes for a significant number of other brands and shops. This it does with remarkable consistency in addition to affordability, which the Molina company credits partly to the historic ties, tools, and “secrets” that came with its acquisition of the old Rossi campus—one that has existed since the 19th century.

The Azzuro series is among the stoutest in Molina’s portfolio, comprised of decidedly muscular renditions of classic shapes that, as a consequence, afford longer smoking sessions per bowl. The Azzuro is not simply all function and no form, however; each pipe in the series is carved from extra-grade briar, dressed in a dark smooth or sandblast finish, and fitted with a swirling blue acrylic mouthpiece—the latter being the series’ azure namesake.

This pipe is chambered to accommodate 9mm filters if desired.
