The MBSD Meerschaum Silver is our line of silver mounted meerschaum pipes. Using the same high-grade, fast-coloring Turkish meerschaum found on our Deluxe series, these pipes exclusively feature either silver ferrules, army mounts or spigot mounts.

While often associated with Danish artisan briars, egg shapes can be found in a wide variety of contexts across the history of modern pipe making, including antique meerschaum pipes. It is an excellent shape for a meerschaum pipe, and not simply because of how much it resembles its namesake; its breadth and bulbousness helps with heat dissipation, while its rounded form is conducive to an even coloring over time. This one mixes a little of the styles of both early meers and modern briars as regards its approach to shaping, though its sheer heft has it undoubtedly most evocative of the latter. One part of the design not common to either, however, is the calabash system within its shank, which works to further cool and dry the smoke that passes through it.

This pipe comes with a custom-fitted hard case.
