White Elephant Serengeti Smooth Bent Billiard (9mm) (Unsmoked Estate)

White Elephant is a make that, over the last 70 years, been associated with briar pipes, granulated meerschaum pipe filters, and both pipes and filters. In other words, there’s a long history to it. But, in the case of this particular pipe, all that you really need to know is that it was made by Kopp, who currently manufacture Barling and Rattray’s pipes, and who also own the White Elephant brand of pipe filters. The White Elephant pipe brand is a natural expansion, of the latter as each is chambered to fit 9mm filters, including White Elephant’s granulated meerschaum filters, in addition to simply being well made by a very established company.

With the Serengeti line, White Elephant pipes combine relatively traditional, Anglo-French designs with a two-tone color palette of dark, almost grayish brown, and a light smooth hue closer to the natural hues of the briar itself. This one is a large bent billiard with a great hand-feel and ample chamber capacity.

This pipe is completely unsmoked, with an original bowl coating. As indicated, this pipe is chambered to accommodate 9mm filters of any typical variety.
