Description
It is probably fair to say that Savinelli is Italy’s most famous pipe brand. Founded in Milan in 1876 by Achille Savinelli, the brand has continuously offered high quality pipes for nearly 150 years. Though various Savinelli lines have come and gone over the years, the brand has always been notable for putting out classically styled pipes with a distinctly Italian twist.
The Roma Lucite has been a mainstay of Savinelli pipes for many years now, emerging first as an evolution of one of Savinelli’s oldest lines, the Roma. As the name suggests, the Roma Lucite has a warm, golden Lucite stem, rather than the vulcanite the Roma originally had. This one is rendered in one of Savinelli’s most popular shapes (not to mention a favorite of one of the late legends of the YTPC), its distinctive, triangular shank bent bulldog, the “673 KS.”
The condition is great. Only lightly smoked, I’d figure. The pipe is chambered to fit 6mm filters, such as Savinelli’s own balsa filters, but will perform perfectly well without one, too.
