Savinelli Arcobaleno 626 Smooth Estate Briar Pipe, 6mm

It is probably fair to say that Savinelli is Italy’s most famous pipe brand. Founded in Milan in 1876 by Achille Savinelli, the brand has continuously offered high quality pipes for nearly 150 years. Though various Savinelli lines have come and gone over the years, the brand has always been notable for putting out classically styled pipes with a distinctly Italian twist.

Along with the Alligator, Savinelli’s Arcobaleno is one of the make’s more unusual designs, owing to the distinctly colorful nature of its pipes. Available in either smooth or rusticated finishes, each is then given a blue, green, or red top-coat, and furnished with an aluminum collar and black acrylic stem.

The condition is fair. The finish appears to have faded somewhat, and there are some handling marks though this won’t affect the pipe’s smoking properties. I’ve adjusted the price to make it a very reasonable buy.

As with most modern Savinelli pipes, this Arcobelano is chambered to fit 6mm filters, such as Savinelli’s own balsa filters, if preferred, but will perform perfectly well without one.
