Nording Partially Rusticated Spigot Billiard Estate Briar Pipe, Unsmoked

Description
Nørding was founded by Erik Nørding in the 1960s, and is one of the oldest remaining companies to come out of the Scandinavian pipe-making renaissance that began in the mid-20th century. Now in his 80s, Erik Nørding is one of the most experienced and skilled pipe-makers in the world, and over the decades he has also been a teacher of other Danish masters, such as Poul Ilsted, Svend Axel Celius, Jens Tao Nielsen, Peder Jeppesen, and Søren Erik Andersen.
Erik Nording is no stranger to traditional pipe shapes, but when he does make them, he tends to add a good amount of his signature Danish style. This spigot mounted billiard, for example, features a partially rusticated contrast finish found on some of Nording’s freehands, and adds an extra bit of color by way of an alternating mount of sterling silver and copper. It’s also a pocket friendly pipe, well suited for lunting or simply piping on the go (especially given its spigot mount), with a weight that might well be comfortable enough for seasoned clenchers.
This pipe is completely unsmoked, with an original bowl coating. It comes with its original sleeve.
