Jobey is a name that has been associated with a number of pipe manufacturers, vendors, and nationalities over the years. The Jobey name has also been attached to a wide variety of pipes and styles, from the Italian-inspired Stromboli line, to the Jobey Dansk pipes carved in the workshop of Karl Erik.

Speak of the devil and he shall appear. This looks to be one of Erik’s freehands made for Jobey, which took the fitting title of the Jobey Dansk. This one is a deep-chambered, spot carved piece in the “Danish Fancy” vein, with an otherwise straight grained bowl juxtaposed with patches of partial rustication, adding an extra rugged touch.

The condition is fair. Some inner rim charring and handling marks.
