Description
Comoy’s is a historic brand in pipe making, and possibly the most historic brand in the making of briar pipes. Though originally founded in 1825 by a French family from Saint Claude, France, production of Comoy’s pipes was soon moved to London, England, where it established itself as one of the quintessential English pipe companies.
There are few pipe series in the history of English pipes that are as iconic as the Grand Slam. Comoy’s patented stinger system, paired with high quality briar and craftsmanship, made the Grand Slam one of the most recognizable and popular pipes in the 20th century. This one is rendered in a variation on Comoy’s equally classic “126” pot shape, a lightweight, wide chambered design that’s perfect for mixtures and ribbon cuts.
The condition is good. Some darkening and scratches on the rim, and slight handling marks.
