About this pipe:
Comoy’s is a historic brand in pipe making, and possibly the most historic brand in the making of briar pipes. Though originally founded in 1825 by a French family from Saint Claude, France, production of Comoy’s pipes was soon moved to London, England, where it established itself as one of the quintessential English pipe companies.
While “Christmas Pipes” today are more readily associated with a few notable Italian and Irish makes, the great English (or in this case, English-French) pipe companies have been putting out limited edition seasonal offerings for far longer than either. Comoy’s for released an annual, limited edition Christmas Pipe from at 1970s until the 2010s, as far I’m aware, though I think the practice might have stopped a few years back.
This particular Comoy’s was the Christmas Pipe for 2006, which took the form of a long, muscular, traditional billiard rendition, dressed in a crisp black sandblast. Of just 150 pipes total made, this one was number 19.
This pipe is completely unsmoked, with an original bowl coating, and comes with its original presentation case and leather sleeve.
