Brebbia Tobacco Pipe FAQ
Brebbia pipes are made in the town of Brebbia in northern Italy. The company was founded in 1953 by Enea Buzzi, who had previously worked in Savinelli’s manufacturing division. Brebbia remains known for combining traditional pipe-making methods with distinctly Italian designs.
“First” is a Brebbia series designation associated with higher-grade pipes. It refers to quality or first-place standing—not to a beginner’s or first tobacco pipe.
Sabbiata identifies a sandblasted finish that reveals the briar’s natural grain and texture. Rocciata refers to Brebbia’s deeper, more rugged rustication. Because finishes can vary between periods and individual pipes, consult each listing’s photographs and description.
No. Many Brebbia tobacco pipes are designed for 9mm filters, while others have traditional unfiltered configurations. Each MBSD listing specifies the pipe’s filter configuration when applicable.
MBSD acquires Brebbia pipes through customer trade-ins, collections, shop closures, and other secondary-market sources. New estate pipes are listed nightly at approximately 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time, so availability changes frequently. If you have a Brebbia or another tobacco pipe to sell or exchange, visit our pipe trade-in page.
