It is surprising that this pipe isn’t stamped, as anyone who knows Italian pipes would be able to spot it for what it is a mile away: an Armellini. Specifically, it’s what Mauro Armellini referred to as a “Calabash,” though which is closer in shaping to a cavalier, or at least to the hunter’s pipes the cavalier descended from. Perhaps it was intended to be a second? Who knows, but it’s a good, interesting pipe, and it’ll be a good, very reasonable price.
The condition is good. Some rim darkening and inner rim charring.
