Seawolf (Martin Cermak) Pipe of the Year 2022 Sandblasted Rhodesian Estate Briar Pipe, Unsmoked, 9mm
Out of stock
Description
The Czech Republic has been home to a significant number of highly skilled and widely renowned pipe makers, from the older greats of the Czech pipe scene, like Karel Krska and Jan Kloucek, to more contemporary (though no less talented) artisans like Jiří Biftek Maczko, Pavel Holub and, of course, Martin Cermak. Cermak is slightly different to some of his contemporaries, however, in that he’s used his significant success to launch a second brand of pipes, Seawolf, which are typically a little more affordable than his Cermak pipes, and which are produced according to set designs, as opposed to being one of one (though Seawolf pipes do adhere to a similar aesthetic to Cermak’s other pipes). Seawolf pipes are, in fact, so popular, that Cermak has made a Pipe of the Year for the brand for a number of years, such as this one, from 2022. As is Cermak’s style, it’s a stout and slightly stubby Rhodesian rendition, with a silver army mount and a fitment slightly reminiscent of the old Peterson “space-fitting” mortise and tenon.
This pipe is completely unsmoked, with an original bowl coating.
