Savinelli Unica U15 Rusticated Egg (6mm) (New)

It is probably fair to say that Savinelli is Italy’s most famous pipe brand. Founded in Milan in 1876 by Achille Savinelli, the brand has continuously offered high quality pipes for nearly 150 years. Though various Savinelli lines have come and gone over the years, the brand has always been notable for putting out classically styled pipes with a distinctly Italian twist.

Savinelli’s Unica has been a recent and quite unique series. It marked the first time in a long while that the Italian make has produced completely new shapes, along with novel finishes to complement them. Production of the Unica has been rather limited, and each release has brought with it a fresh selection of designs.

The “U15” is one of the shapes included in the Unica’s 2026 release, taking the form of a large egg that calls to mind both the Danish artisan briars of the post-war period and the oversized designs of midcentury England. In keeping with the Unica’s aesthetic, the pipe is dressed in a reddish contrast finish and fitted with a deep blue acrylic mouthpiece.

As with most contemporary Savinelli pipes, this one is chambered to fit 6mm filters, such as Savinelli’s balsa filters, if desired, though it will also perform perfectly well without one.
