Pioneer Rusticated Bent Billiard Estate Block Meerschaum Pipe, American Estates

Description

Pioneer was a brand of meerschaum pipes sold by Wally Frank. Wally Frank was a historic American tobacconist, which had its house-brand pipes produced by numerous established makes. Pioneer pipes have been associated with Manx, a meerschaum company based on the Isle of Man in the UK, who also made Peterson and Barling meerschaums.

This particular Pioneer is an interesting take on the meerschaum pipe, being stained black and having an ebonite army mount of sorts.

The condition is great. The pipe has been previously smoked, but not much, by the looks of it.
