Description
The Moonshine Pipe Company was created in the early 2010s by American artisan craftsman Johnathan Lavezzo. After becoming a major hit in the tobacco pipe community, Lavezzo’s production became greatly outpaced by demand, leading him to enlist the help of Todd Johnson and Pete Prevost in scaling up the venture. Johnson and Prevost’s Briarworks workshop took on the manufacture of Moonshine pipes, with the former ultimately acquiring the latter. Today, Moonshine and Briarworks pipes are produced under the same roof in Tennessee.
The “Stublin” is, as the name suggests, Moonshine’s take on a decidedly stubby Dublin shape. It’s compact, extremely lightweight, while also retaining a healthy chamber capacity. This one is dressed in Moonshine’s signature Contrast Sandblast, highlighting rows upon rows of deep ring grain, and is fitted with one of the workshop’s Coffee-swirl acrylic stems.
