The MBSD Meerschaum Silver is our line of silver mounted meerschaum pipes. Using the same high-grade, fast-coloring Turkish meerschaum found on our Deluxe series, these pipes exclusively feature either silver ferrules, army mounts or spigot mounts.

Spiral carvings are as intimately connected with the artistry of meerschaum carving as floral and lattice motifs, but they are by no means easy to accomplish. One has to be a true master of the medium to achieve the measured, geometric layering of their constitutive furrows, while also contending with the whims of nature (after all, even high-grade block meerschaum doesn’t guarantee that a flaw won’t emerge as the bowl progresses). Still, Turkish meerschaum carvers have been chasing spirals for centuries, as when they’re done right, they make for some of the most beautiful pipes around—especially once they begin to take on the medium’s hallmark golden glow. This Silver line MBSD Meerschaum is a rare example of exactly that. Being a Silver line, it is also mounted with sterling silver and, as with many pipes in that line, it also features a reverse calabash system within its thick shank, which works to further cool and dry the smoke that passes through it.

This pipe comes with a custom-fitted hard case.
