The MBSD Meerschaum Silver is our line of silver mounted meerschaum pipes. Using the same high-grade, fast-coloring Turkish meerschaum found on our Deluxe series, these pipes exclusively feature silver army mounts or spigot mounts.
This particular Silver line finds its inspiration in the fascinating genre of reverse calabash designs in the world of artisan briars. Many of our Silver line meerschaums feature reverse calabash systems, but this is similar to one of the first designs that came out of that endeavor, under the influence of figures such as Rolando Negoita, Tom Eltang, and Robert Vacher of Laughing Moon. It’s a stout and sturdy design, with a fantastically deep main chamber, along with the second chamber in its shank for helping keep things even more cool and dry.
