Stack

Stack tobacco pipes are distinguished by bowls that are noticeably taller in relation to their width. The added height often creates a deep tobacco chamber, giving the shape a lean, vertical profile and generally providing greater capacity than a similarly sized conventional bowl.

Rather than representing one rigid design, Stack proportions can be applied to Billiards, Dublins, Eggs, Rhodesians, and other shapes. The term sometimes overlaps with “Chimney,” although makers and collectors do not always use the two names identically. A Stack may be straight, bent, compact, or oversized, depending on the underlying design.

Stack pipes may be made from briar, meerschaum, or other suitable pipe materials and can have any finish. MBSD’s changing selection includes smooth, sandblasted, rusticated, and mixed-finish examples, with new, estate, and unsmoked estate pipes from factory brands and individual pipe makers.
