Description

The MBSD Meerschaum Silver is our line of silver mounted meerschaum pipes. Using the same high-grade, fast-coloring Turkish meerschaum found on our Deluxe series, these pipes exclusively feature silver army mounts or spigot mounts.

The egg is a staple of briar pipes, especially those of post-war artisan makes. It’s also especially well suited for meerschaum, as its rounded figure allows for a more even dispersal of molecules produced by the blend smoked in it, which give meerschaum pipes their hallmark golden patina. This one is part of our MBSD Silver line, taking on a form that gives a slight nod to the Danish tradition, without straying too far from the Anglo-French one. It is furthermore dressed in a very light rustication, emulating the “guilloche” patterning of certain midcentury briars. As an extra addition, this pipe also features a reverse calabash system in its shank, which should provide an even cooler, drier smoke than a standard-bore meerschaum pipe.

This pipe comes with a custom-fitted hard case.
