MBSD Meerschaum Double Silver Guilloche Poker Reverse Calabash Block Meerschaum Pipe, New

Much like the MBSD Meerschaum Silver and Silver Cap lines, the Double Silver is comprised exclusively of sterling silver-mounted meerschaum. But, as the name suggests, Double Silver pipes are mounted not once, but twice. Each features a sterling silver cap at its rim, protecting the bowl and chamber from slips of the flame and lava build-up, as well as a sterling silver fitment at the shank end, typically in the form of an army mount. Each is made using the same high-grade, fast-coloring Turkish block meerschaum found on our other various meerschaum lines, but with even more finery than any of the meers we’ve offered thus far.

The poker is an all-time classic of pipe design in just about any medium. They’re simple, practical, and they have a nice traditional look to them too. Alongside our more modern designs, we sell quite a lot of poker renditions as part of our MBSD Meerschaum Deluxe line, though this one, from our Double Silver line, is a little different. Not only is it distinctly stacked, with a deep, slightly narrow chamber that should handle flake cuts especially well, but it’s also dressed in classic Turkish guilloche carvings, mounted at both ends with sterling silver, and even features reverse calabash system within its shank, which works to further cool and dry the smoke that passes through it. In other words, it’s something of a premium poker, for true connoisseurs of the form.
