Description

Much like the MBSD Meerschaum Silver and Silver Cap lines, the Double Silver is comprised exclusively of sterling silver-mounted meerschaum. But, as the name suggests, Double Silver pipes are mounted not once, but twice. Each features a sterling silver cap at its rim, protecting the bowl and chamber from slips of the flame and lava build-up, as well as a sterling silver fitment at the shank end, typically in the form of an army mount. Each is made using the same high-grade, fast-coloring Turkish block meerschaum found on our other various meerschaum lines, but with even more finery than any of the meers we’ve offered thus far.

Brandy shapes have been a staple in our meerschaum catalog for years and make up some of the most popular shapes we’ve sold. This is especially the case for our Danish-inspired renditions; whether it’s Former, Eltang, Balleby, or the late Jess Chonowitsch, it’s hard to beat the delightfully voluptuous that the post-war Danish artisans have brought to the form, all but making it their own. Thus it seemed only right to pay homage to those pipes in some of our meers. On the other hand, we do also like to make sure that there’s still plenty of Turkish artistry in them, such as with this guilloche-carved, silver-mounted rendition.
