Jan Pietenpauw Sandblasted Acorn w/ Bamboo Estate Briar Pipe, Other Estates
Out of stock
Description
Jan Pietenpauw is the nom de plume South African artisan Jean du Toit, who has been making pipes since 2009. Pietenpauw is one of a relatively small number of pipe makers in the country, though, like Charl Goussard and Ebenhart Botha, he has shown that this is no barrier to making high-quality smoking instruments.
In the case of this one, Pietenpauw has crafted a nice little bamboo-shanked acorn, with a five-knuckle strip of bamboo ensuring that it remains a featherweight without sacrificing much by way of chamber capacity. The black and tan color palette is a tasteful touch, too—almost like a very modern dress pipe.
The condition is very good. Some minor wear to the inner rim.
