Description
PTM Amadeus is a Greek pipe workshop and briar mill founded in the early 1970s, and in the time since, three generations of carvers from its founding family have been employed in the company’s various activities. This particular Amadeus appears to have been made specially for the Chicago Pipe Show, all the way back in 2007, and I have a hunch that it may have been the pipe supplied for that year’s Slow Smoking Competition. The design is one of a very traditional saddle billiard, with exactly the excellent briar one would expect from a workshop that cuts, and is able to select from, its own supply.
This pipe is completely unsmoked, with an original bowl coating. Some minor, residual stem oxidation.
