4th Generation

Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation was launched in 2012 to honor four generations of the Stokkebye family’s involvement in pipes and tobacco. Erik Michael Stokkebye represents the family’s fourth generation, following a history that began with his great-grandfather, Erik Peter Stokkebye.

Rather than making the pipes himself, Erik works with respected pipe makers and workshops to create the brand’s designs. Collaborators have included Peder Jeppesen, Erik Nørding, Chacom, Ascorti, and Bruno Nuttens, giving 4th Generation pipes a distinctly international character while maintaining their Danish identity.

Many series and models bear dates connected to the Stokkebye family’s history, including 1855, 1882, 1897, 1931, and 1957. These dates commemorate important births and milestones across the family’s four generations. MBSD’s changing selection may include new, estate, and unsmoked estate 4th Generation tobacco pipes in a range of traditional and contemporary shapes.
