Pascucci Partially Rusticated Brandy Estate Briar Pipe, Unsmoked

Out of stock

Description

As with many Italian artisans of his generation, Mario Pascucci can be considered a “Pesaro school” pipe maker. As with Ser Jacopo, Don Carlos, Le Nuvole, Rinaldo, and indeed many other major Italian makes and makers, Pascucci appears to have started his career in pipes at Mastro de Paja, before going solo to create his own brand, Pascucci.

Pascucci pipes are often a little more colorful than their Pesaro school cousins, though they retain the high-quality of craftsmanship. Mario Pascucci personally selects his briar from Italy’s famous mills, before turning these blocks into unique creations such as this one. Taking the form of a diamond-shank brandy, the pipe wears an almost mossy rustication, with contrasting layers of finish applied. This is paired with a golden Lucite stem inlaid with briar and black Lucite at its base, something quite typical to Pascucci’s designs.

This pipe is completely unsmoked, being new old stock from a batch that came to us via a shop closure in Europe.
