Tim West is one of the United States’ oldest living artisan pipe-makers, having made his first pipe all the way back in 1967, and having become a full-time pipe maker since 1975. A legend in the scene, West has produced thousands of pipes in his lifetime, and has won his far share of awards for them too.
I had the opportunity to meet Tim at the Columbus pipe show this year which was a real honor. We were thrilled when we recently ran across an opportunity to buy several of his handmade pipes. The last is a large panel which is exactly 6 long. With that said, it isn’t particularly heavy, weighing just under 50g. The bowl features some wonderful grain, too. All in all it’s a beautiful pipe from one of America’s living pipe legends.
