Whether it’s briar, meerschaum, or just about any suitable medium for a pipe, I do love a good spiral carved finish. In the case of this meerschaum, the finish is perfectly applied, with its furrows resembling crushed velvet more than solid mineral deposits.
The condition is great. Some minor inner rim darkening, but really it’s more just where the meerschaum has begun to color.
