Roma Smooth Bent Apple Estate Briar Pipe, Unsmoked

Roma are budget-friendly pipes made by Italy’s major pipe factories. One could think of them as an unofficial ‘seconds’ line for various Italian mainstays.

I must say, while Roma are affordable pipes, I find this one absolutely delightful. It is a fairly simple, quarter-bent apple – though one bordering very close on being a somewhat Danish bent egg – but it has the most magnificent cross grain swirling around its bowl. The natural, light blonde stain does well to accentuate these grain patterns, while its black stem serves as a foil to further set them off.

This Roma is also completely unsmoked.
