P. Viou Super Smooth Canadian Estate Briar Pipe, Unsmoked
Out of stock
Description
P. Viou pipes were originally made by Paul Viou, an early French artisan working around the early to mid-20th century. The P. Viou trademark was, however, later acquired by various major French pipe companies, including Vuillard and Genod. As with a couple of other P. Vious that came in recently I have a feeling this one will be from Genod, in whose safe hands the make has been for a while now (the Genod workshop, after all, has about 150 years of accumulated expertise in pipe making).
In the case of this one, it’s a very aptly named “Super” grade Canadian, being positively lavished with flame grain. At just over 6 inches in length and under 1 and a half ounces in weight, I’d say it’s near-goldilocks in proportions too, to the point that seasoned pipe smokers may well find it a comfortable enough clencher.
This pipe is completely unsmoked. Some slight scratches on the bowl, though nothing major.
