Morgan BlackJack 10th Anniversary Sandblasted Rhodesian Estate Briar Pipe, Unsmoked

Debuting all the way back in 2014, the BlackJack is one of the great success stories of American pipe-making in the 21st century. Conceived by California’s Chris Morgan (who would also go on to create the wildly successful Bones series), the Blackjack was conceived as a way to apply the techniques and design principles that Morgan had established as a high-grade, artisan pipe-maker to something more affordable. With the combined expertise of Morgan and of the established Italian pipe factories charged with manufacturing, the BlackJack has been a mainstay among pipe smokers ever since.

This one looks to be a slightly special edition of the BlackJack, having been made for the 10th anniversary of the brand. As is quite typical for BlackJacks, it’s a decidedly stubby piece, taking the form of a nosewarmer-length “bullcap” Rhodesian. Unlike most other BlackJacks, this one wears a tan sandblast, bringing its briar patterns into much more noticeable relief.

The pipe is completely unsmoked.
