The MBSD Meerschaum Silver is our line of silver mounted meerschaum pipes. Using the same high-grade, fast-coloring Turkish meerschaum found on our Deluxe series, these pipes exclusively feature either silver ferrules, army mounts or spigot mounts.

The proximity of meerschaum carving to the sculptural fine arts is something that has been remarked on for centuries, not least because of the sheer skill exhibited by its finest carvers. Meerschaum pipes often take on figural motifs, such as busts or tableaus, just as is often the case with sculpture more generally, but meerschaum pipes can also mirror the more avant-garde movements in their subtractive counterparts. This one, for example, has a little of a cubist, or surrealist, bent, blending irregular planes, angles, and spirals in a work that wouldn’t look entirely out of place in a modern art gallery, while also being a comfortable, cool, dry smoking instrument.

This pipe comes with a custom-fitted hard case.
