The MBSD Meerschaum Silver is our line of silver mounted meerschaum pipes. Using the same high-grade, fast-coloring Turkish meerschaum found on our Deluxe series, these pipes exclusively feature either silver ferrules, army mounts or spigot mounts.

While it has roots in the Anglo-French tradition, the author has ultimately become a thoroughly Italian shape in the post-war years, owing to the iconic renditions of a number of established factory makes in the region. It is also, however, a shape that works very well in meerschaum, with the bowl’s breadth ensuring an even heat dissipation, while feeling good in the hand more generally. That’s certainly been our experience, with our Italian-inspired, Turkish-made authors being some of the most popular shapes in the MBSD Meerschaum catalog. This one also features a reverse calabash system within its shank, which should contribute to an even cooler, drier smoke than usual.

This pipe comes with a custom-fitted hard case.
