The MBSD Meerschaum Silver is our line of silver mounted meerschaum pipes. Using the same high-grade, fast-coloring Turkish meerschaum found on our Deluxe series, these pipes exclusively feature silver army mounts or spigot mounts.

So-called “stubby” pipes are far from new in the world of briar, with prime examples being the designs of Danish masters, such as Jens Tao Nielsen or Nanna Ivarsson. But it seems as though such shapes are having a resurgence lately, thanks to work of carvers as far flung as America’s Chris Morgan, Italy’s Andrea Gigliucci, and Japan’s Tsuge. This particular Silver model continues that tradition, but in meerschaum, taking the form of a plump, near-nosewarmer length bent egg with a silver mount. Taking advantage of this muscularity in the shank, the pipe has been fitted with a reverse calabash chamber system, providing an even cooler, drier smoke.
