MBSD Meerschaum Silver Reverse Calabash Lattice Oom Paul Block Meerschaum Pipe, New

About this pipe:

The MBSD Meerschaum Silver is our line of silver mounted meerschaum pipes. Using the same high-grade, fast-coloring Turkish meerschaum found on our Deluxe series, these pipes exclusively feature silver army mounts or spigot mounts.

As with the Deluxe line, I wanted some of our Silver line of meerschaums to feature a few classic shapes not typically found on meerschaum pipes—those being the ones more typically found on briar pipes. And, as with our Deluxe line, our Silver line Oom Pauls have become one of our most popular shapes. As can be seen here, the Silver line renditions are a little more stout than classical Oom Pauls, in part to accommodate the reverse calabash chamber in its shank, but the homage to iconic designs, such as those of Sasieni and Comoy’s, is still there. This one goes further in its continental synthesis, by way of a quintessentially Turkish, lattice carved finish.
