Description

The MBSD Meerschaum Silver is our line of silver mounted meerschaum pipes. Using the same high-grade, fast-coloring Turkish meerschaum found on our Deluxe series, these pipes exclusively feature silver army mounts or spigot mounts.

While many of our meerschaums embody forms closer to post-war artisan briars, I do make sure to include a few that are more classical in design. In the case of this one, that would almost be an understatement. Taking the shape of a vase-like Rhodesian sitter, it recalls the ornamental styles of meerschaum pipes of centuries past, from back when only the upper echelons of society could afford such a premium smoke. To drive that aesthetic home, the pipe also features a hypnotic, latticework finish and a hidden flourish at the base of the shank, as well as an amber-toned acrylic mouthpiece. Slightly more modern is the pipe’s inclusion of a reverse calabash system in its shank, which should help to further cool and dry the smoke as it passes from chamber to palate.

This pipe comes with a custom-fitted hard case.
