Jobey Shellmoor 735 Sandblasted Canadian Estate Briar Pipe, Other Estates
Out of stock
Description
Jobey is a name that has been associated with a number of pipe manufacturers, vendors, and nationalities over the years. The Jobey name has also been attached to a wide variety of pipes and styles, from the Italian-inspired Stromboli line, to the Jobey Dansk pipes carved in the workshop of Karl Erik.
There is some debate as to whether the Shellmoor was a line or a sub-brand of Jobey pipes, though the nomenclature on this one, at the very least, suggests the former. It’s a nice, long Canadian shape, probably made in England or France, with a good old craggy sandblast finish. Like many Jobey pipes, this one features a rather unorthodox tenon, which in this case is a reverse fitment.
The condition is very good. Minor wear to the rim and handling marks, and a slightly off-center draft hole.
