Description
Comoy’s is a historic brand in pipe making, and possibly the most historic brand in the making of briar pipes. Though originally founded in 1825 by a French family from Saint Claude, France, production of Comoy’s pipes was soon moved to London, England, where it established itself as one of the quintessential English pipe companies.
A simple, nice looking billiard from what appears to be the post-Cadogan years at Comoy’s. Taking the form of a kind of hybrid between the foursquare sitter and the more typical billiard, it’s lightweight, good-chambered, and dressed in a very enjoyable contrast finish.
This pipe is completely unsmoked, with an original bowl coating. Stem is original; the “C” logo was merely buffed off during restoration.
