Voboril Pipes Partially Sandblasted Chubby Bulldog Estate Briar Pipe, Unsmoked
Out of stock
Description
Petr Vobořil is an artisan from the Czech Republic who works under the name Vobořil Pipes. Having taken up pipe making in 2007, Vobořil stands alongside figures such as Jirí Biftek Maczko, Martin Cermak, and Pavel Eclesias Holub as one of the most prominent and recognizable craftsmen working in the Czech Republic today. This particular Vobořil is one of his signature designs, a stubby, chubby bulldog somewhat reminiscent of Danish master Jens Tao Nielsen. As with Vobořil’s pipes, and with contemporary Czech pipe making more generally, this one is highly distinctive in its use of colors, setting it apart from the comparatively reserved palettes of Danish pipe making. As with other Voboril Pipes we’ve had in, it blends a mixed finish, partial sandblast with a hand-cut cumberland stem, creating an aesthetic that is decidedly modern without being gaudy.
This pipe is completely unsmoked and comes with its original sleeve.
